La Roux Magazine Analysis

- The artist is clearly shown to be the centre of attraction, especially with her make-up, giving her flawless skin and showing off her beauty, showing her off as an artist, as well as attracting the audience, male and female.

- Her hair is styled, giving her a modern and contemporary look. Her hair done up in that particular style is part of her image as an artist. This backs up Dyer's theory of the star being the central image and they need other media to support their image, such as magazines.

- The page on the right shows when the debut album is out, as well as a number of critics reviews for the artist, promoting the artist.

- The title above the artist is also in the familiar style of La Roux, showing and advertising the artist clearly to the audience.

- The colour of the background is very dark, but it is also red, a colour that is associated with love and lust. The white text also contrasts with the dark colour, making it clearer and more visible.

- The words 'the debut album is out now' is bigger than the other text, drawing attention to that particular area, which is what is wanted.

- The angle of the photo shows the artist from the side on, showing her face clearly, to show off the artist more as well as her features.
