Camera
Last year, during my project I did not use a tripod as often as I could've and I used a camera that was not as reliable and the footage was not as good as it could've been. The difference definitely does show within work.
This year, however, I have easy access to a tripod that my family use for their professional photography, so I can use that for my music video to get a less un-professional shot and the images will be clearer on their professional camera's that have a variety of different lenses, such as a wide-angle lens and video capability, as well as a much clearer image. I think this would make a great improvement to my work.
Camera Angles
I have noticed that within the music videos that I have analysed, the main focus is on the artist with only a few slight exceptions within it, such as within the narrative of the music video.
Because of this, most of my shots will be close-ups and mid-shots, showing the artist clearly whilst in the video. There may be some long shots within the video during the narrative pieces of the music video rather than the performance parts of it, keeping the focus on the artist.
